Segun Tomori, an aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshodi-Isolo II Federal Constituency, Lagos State, has pledged to prioritise youth digital skills development and grassroots sports if elected to the House of Representatives in 2027. He announced his candidacy on Monday in Abuja, centring his campaign on the theme Service, Excellence and Trust (SET), drawn from his name. His manifesto rests on eight pillars, including Generation Next – Youth and Sports Talent Development, Skills Building Initiative, and Education and Schools Intervention Programme. Tomori said the Generation Next initiative will offer mentorship, in-demand digital skills training, and career guidance through partnerships with private firms and youth consulting organisations. He also plans annual sports tournaments to connect local talents with foreign scouts for potential professional development. Other agenda items include solar power solutions for the constituency, back-to-school programmes, and improved public learning conditions. Tomori emphasized that his vision requires collective support from constituents. He referenced President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, aligning his goals with the administration's broader objectives. Tomori previously served as Special Assistant on Media to the Minister of Solid Minerals Development in 2023 and held roles in the 2023 APC presidential campaign, party youth leadership, and local council elections.
