James Ager Worthy (born February 27, 1961) is a former professional basketball player, sports analyst, and NBA executive from the United States. Known as “Big Game James,” he spent all 12 years of his NBA career (1982–1994) with the Los Angeles Lakers as a small forward. Worthy was a seven-time NBA All-Star, made the All-NBA team twice, and won three NBA championships (1985, 1987, 1988). He was named NBA Finals MVP in 1988. Worthy was selected for the NBA’s 50th and 75th Anniversary Teams and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
