Paul Ibe, media aide to a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar has described an Artificial Intelligence, AI, generated video of the former Vice President promising a massive give away to Nigerians as scam. In the purpoted AI video, Atiku could be heard saying: “I will be giving massive give away this month and selecting people at random as a way of showing support to every average Nigerian out there, as a way of supporting those who believe in a better tomorrow. Simply drop your details and sign up.” But Atiku’s media aide in a quick rebuttal distanced his principal from the shambolic empowerment scheme trending online.
