Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have dealt a crushing blow to ISWAP terrorists who attempted to attack a military base in Borno State.

The terrorists were met with a well-coordinated ambush and a deliberate offensive-defensive response by the troops, forcing them into a disorderly withdrawal. The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI provided close air support to the troops, enhancing targeted kinetic responses that led to heavy losses for the terrorists.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Uba Sani, the media information officer, Operation HADIN KAI, the troops killed about 38 terrorists in the encounter, with only eight bodies recovered so far.
