“Introduce Me Properly, I’m a moving acting machine” — Eucharia Anunobi Corrects Podcast Host Over Mispronounced Name
Popular Nollywood Actress Eucharia Anunobi Sets the Record Straight on Her Name and Credentials.
In a recent interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, veteran actress and pastor Eucharia Anunobi was introduced by the host as "Ukeriya Anunobi Ekwu." However, this mispronunciation and incorrect title did not go unnoticed by the actress.
In a firm yet polite correction, Anunobi clarified that she should be referred to as "Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi." She emphasized that her doctorate degree is not an honorary title, but rather the result of her hard work, dedication, and academic achievements.
The actress, known for her iconic roles in films like Abuja Connection and Glamour Girls, earned her doctorate from Kingdom Life Bible College and Seminary International. Anunobi stressed that her academic title is a testament to her years of discipline, faith, and perseverance.
Anunobi also addressed the use of the name "Ekwu" by the host, explaining that it belongs to a past relationship that has been dissolved and should no longer be associated with her identity. She made it clear that the relationship ended in a court wedding, but there was no traditional or church wedding involved.
As a prominent figure in the Nollywood industry, Anunobi has appeared in over 300 films and has also ventured into Christian ministry. Her recent interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast has sparked conversations about the importance of accurate representation and respect for individuals' identities.
In a show of her professionalism and confidence, Anunobi corrected the host and stood by her truth, reiterating, "If you want to introduce me, you introduce me properly. I remain Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi."
