The new Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Pastor Peter Akpe, has claimed that he never lobbied for the position. Akpe stated this during a reception at the Government House in Yenagoa, the capital city of Bayelsa State. According to him, “But let me make it clear that I have not gone to lobby for any position, including this one. Most of the influential Bayelsa (big) men are here.
