He also urged his members to remain calm and avoid reprisals, emphasizing that the association will not be provoked into taking the law into their own hands.
Interestingly, the Berom Youth Moulders Association has denied any involvement in the attack, calling on security agencies to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation. The association's national president, Solomon Mwantiri, has urged the authorities to be cautious not to jump to conclusions without sufficient evidence.
Meanwhile, the military has confirmed the incident, saying that troops were mobilized to the area immediately after receiving information about the attack. The General Officer Commanding 3 Division has expressed concern over the incident and has directed that those responsible be tracked down.
The latest killings come at a time when Plateau State is grappling with heightened security concerns, following the recent mining disaster in Kampani Zurak, Wase Local Government Area. The tragedy, which resulted in the loss of 38 lives, has prompted calls for stronger security presence and coordinated emergency response across the state.
