Gov Sani lauded over 36km Birnin Gwari road project
**Breaking Ground: Gov Sani's 36km Road Project in Birnin Gwari Wins Accolades**
The Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA) has hailed Governor Uba Sani for his groundbreaking efforts in transforming rural roads in Kaduna State. The 36km Bagoma-Gagumi road project in Birnin Gwari local government is set to break a record, surpassing the 35km Gadan Gayan-Gwaraji-Kujama road commissioned earlier this year.
On an inspection visit to the project site, Managing Director of KADRA, Abdullahi Baba Ahmed, praised Governor Sani's rural transformation initiatives, describing them as revolutionary. This is coming on the heels of the governor's recent commissioning of the longest road constructed in the last two decades, spanning across three local governments.
The Bagoma-Gagumi road project promises to connect farmers to markets, residents to schools and hospitals, and is expected to significantly boost the local economy. The road will benefit 66 farming communities in Birnin Gwari local government, which happens to be one of Nigeria's leading maize-producing local governments. This means that farmers will have an easier time transporting their produce, leading to improved economic growth.
In addition to facilitating the transportation of goods, the road project is also expected to provide better access to schools, healthcare services, and employment opportunities for the residents of Birnin Gwari. According to Mr Baba Ahmed, the project is part of Governor Sani's broader initiative to build 1,345 kilometers of roads across 20 local government areas. The governor has already launched 150 projects and completed 66 of them.
The construction of the Bagoma-Gagumi road is being handled by CGC Nigeria Limited, a reputable construction firm. When completed, this road project will be a testament to Governor Sani's commitment to improving the lives of Kaduna residents, particularly those in rural areas.
