In a statement issued Thursday by the spokesperson of the ministry, Janet McDickson, the minister, Dr. Bernard M. Doro, said the incident is tragic and distressing, extending heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Borno state, especially families who lost loved ones. Also reacting, the Minister of State, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, said the grief and trauma caused by the attack are shared by the entire nation, urging citizens to remain united and resilient in the face of adversity. “The ministry stands in solidarity with the people of Borno state during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families and we pray for the speedy recovery of those injured,” the ministers stated.
