Gunmen attacked the Nding community in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State on Tuesday night, killing six people. Five of the victims were members of the same family, killed around 9 p.m., according to community member Weng Christopher. He said the attackers opened fire on unsuspecting residents, creating widespread fear. Another resident also died in the assault. Christopher described the security situation as alarming, adding that such attacks are becoming too frequent and leaving people in constant fear.
