However, they ended up calling off their wedding after Devo felt he “didn’t connect” with Brittany…and months later, he crashed a “girls’ trip” to Austin with Bri McNees, Ashley Carpenter, and Priyanka Grandhi without telling his then-fiancée. Oh, you thought this mess was done? Nope. Devo fully dropped a bombshell during the Love Is Blind season 10 reunion when he revealed he was engaged and expecting his first child. Though he revealed he met his fiancée before his time on Love Is Blind, he kept her identity under wraps. Now, Devonta has taken to Instagram to clear up some narratives about his relationships that have been spread by podcasters. “It's honestly wild how many miserable people are upset that I chose not to stay in a relationship that wasn't right for me. The narrative that I ‘led Brittany on’ is just that, a narrative. She’s a grown woman who could’ve left at any point, what you saw was me being real instead of forcing a marriage just to satisfy people watching from their couches,” he wrote, in part, before confirming that Brittany wasn’t his “usual type” (which viewers and internet sleuths have clocked as white women). He added, “At the reunion, there was even a clip of her asking if I had dated a woman of color, I answered honestly, but like a lot of things, the full context wasn’t shown. The people in that room saw it, and that’s enough for me.” Ahead of the season finale, Brittany told Cosmo that she had bought a wedding dress before entering the pods because she “was very, very hopeful.” At the time, she added, “I was going into [Love Is Blind] prepared with a dress that I knew fit me...
