Two kidnapping suspects were killed on Thursday in Obulu-uku, Delta State, during a joint operation by the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber-crime Squad of the Delta State Police Command and military personnel. The operation led to the rescue of two female victims who had been held by the suspects. Police recovered N4.2 million in cash believed to be ransom money collected from the victims' families. The operation took place in the Obulu-uku area, a region that has seen increased criminal activity in recent months. No injuries were reported among security operatives involved in the mission. The police stated that the suspects opened fire first, prompting the exchange that resulted in their deaths. Investigations are ongoing to determine if the suspects were linked to other abduction cases in the state.
