A Federal High Court sitting in Kano has convicted Kannywood actress Saadatu Mohammed Inuwa, popularly known as Samha Inuwa, for deliberately mutilating the Nigerian currency. Justice S.M. Shuaibu delivered the judgment after the actress pleaded guilty to soiling a ₦1,000 note by wiping it with her nose — an act the court held to be in breach of currency protection regulations governing the naira.
