**Mentorship for Nigeria's Youth: CIPM Seeks Collaboration with NYSC** In a bid to enhance the development of Nigeria's youth, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has expressed interest in collaborating with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to strengthen youth mentorship, entrepreneurship, and national integration. The CIPM, a statutory regulator of human resource management practice in Nigeria, has over 20,000 certified members across the country, including senior public officials. The CIPM Registrar, Ms Oluwatoyin Naiwo, commended the NYSC for its efforts in mentoring young Nigerians for leadership roles and providing entrepreneurial skills to create jobs. She advocated for stronger collaboration between the two bodies, citing the NYSC's focus on skills development, digital innovation, and employability as a key area of convergence. To achieve this goal, the CIPM has proposed to present during NYSC Orientation Courses, providing Corps Members with insights on workplace experience and structured career planning. This initiative is expected to equip young Nigerians with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their chosen careers. The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, welcomed the proposal and expressed the Scheme's readiness to collaborate with organizations focused on youth development and national integration.
