Justice John Tsoho, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, has approved the posting of 14 newly appointed judges to various judicial divisions across the country. The move follows recommendations by the National Judicial Council and was announced in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by Dr Catherine-Oby Christopher, the court's Director of Information. The affected judges are expected to assume duty at their new stations on May 13. The reshuffle also includes the reassignment of three existing judges.
Justice Hassan Dikko has been posted to the Gusau Division in Zamfara State. Justices Salim Olasupo Ibrahim and Onah Chigozie Sergius will serve at the Abuja Division. Justice Sulaiman Amida Hassan is now assigned to the Osogbo Division in Osun State. Justice Muhammad Saidu will report to the Minna Division in Niger State, while Justice Igboko Conchita has been posted to the Akure Division in Ondo State. Justice Onuegbu Angela is assigned to the Yenagoa Division in Bayelsa State, and Justice Galumje Edingah to the Abakaliki Division in Ebonyi State.
Justice Ibrahim Eneabo is now headed to the Gombe Division. Justice Abubakar Usman will serve at the Ado-Ekiti Division in Ekiti State. Justice Salihu Yunusa has been posted to the Damaturu Division in Yobe State, and Justice Ikpeme Bassey to the Uyo Division in Akwa Ibom State. Justice Shehu Adamu is now assigned to the Maiduguri Division in Borno State. Justice Mohammed Buba will serve at the Dutse Division in Jigawa State. Justice Binjin-Eigegbe Nendelmum Judith has been posted to the Lokoja Division in Kogi State. Justices Usoro Uduak and Nwoye Osinachi Donatus are to serve at the Lagos Division. The statement confirmed that the postings take immediate effect.
