The late Channels Television cameraman, Kani Ben, who died from injuries sustained in a road accident while on official assignment, was laid to rest on Saturday in his hometown of Kangling, Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Ben, 44, was born on May 28, 1982, and passed away on February 15, 2026, after battling injuries from the crash. The accident occurred along the Yashi–Yelwan Duguri Road in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State during coverage of a project commissioning by the North East Development Commission (NEDC).
