**Champion Newspapers Honoured for Resilience Amid Economic Turbulence** In a night of celebration and recognition, the Champion Newspapers Limited was hailed by notable Nigerians for its remarkable resilience and commitment to excellence over the decades. The Newspapers Awards 2025 ceremony, held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, March 14, brought together esteemed individuals and organizations to acknowledge outstanding contributions to national development. Former Governors of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Aremo Olusegun Osoba, were among the dignitaries present at the event. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), represented by its spokesman, Mr Femi Babafemi, was awarded the Man of the Year, while Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), the agency's Chairman/CEO, was praised for his leadership. NDLEA was also named the Most Innovative and Outstanding Public Agency of the Year. Other notable winners included Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, OON, who was named Banker of the Year, and Access Bank Plc, which won the Bank of the Year award. Globus Bank Limited was named the Most Innovative Bank of the Year, while Moniepoint MFB won the Fintec Company of the Year.
