BSN organises primary school Bible competition
**Naija News: BSN Holds 15th Annual Primary School Bible Competition**
In a bid to promote a culture of reading and studying the Bible among Nigerian children, the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is set to host the 15th edition of its annual Primary School Bible Competition on March 11, 2026. This event is part of the society's mission to inspire people to engage with the Word of God and transform their lives.
The competition, which will take place at the Salvation Army Auditorium in Onipanu, Lagos, aims to instill Christian values and virtues in young pupils at a tender age. Six primary schools across Lagos will participate in the competition, with each school sending two pupils to represent them.
The pupils will be quizzed on questions drawn from the CEV Illustrated Children's Bible, a popular children's Bible that makes reading and understanding the scriptures fun and engaging.
The BSN is a non-profit, interdenominational Christian organisation that has been working tirelessly to translate the Bible into various Nigerian languages, publish and distribute the Scriptures, and raise funds to support Bible work across the country.
The annual competition is one of the society's initiatives aimed at encouraging young Nigerians to develop a lasting relationship with the Bible. By participating in this competition, pupils will not only demonstrate their knowledge of the Bible but also develop essential skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, and communication.
As the society continues to promote the values of the Bible in Nigerian communities, this competition serves as a reminder of the importance of inculcating Christian values and morals in children from a young age. We wish the participating schools and pupils all the best as they prepare for this exciting event.
