He also has a law degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Placid's journey in the police force began in 1996 as a cadet assistant superintendent of police at the Police Academy, Kano. He was commissioned in August 1998. Throughout his career, he has attended several professional and international courses, including the United Nations Peace Operations Specialised Training (POST), which has earned him certifications as an expert in police studies, military studies, and human rights. As FPRO, Placid will be responsible for communicating the NPF's vision and policies to the public.
