In a ceremony held at the D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall in Yenagoa, newly sworn-in Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Pastor Peter Akpe, has expressed his gratitude to Governor Douye Diri for appointing him to the position. Pastor Akpe, who was flanked by his wife, Dr Favour Akpe, also thanked the Bayelsa State House of Assembly and other stakeholders for their support.
The Deputy Governor, who hails from Ebedebiri-Sagbama, Bayelsa, emphasized that his new office is a call to serve the people, not a platform for personal glory.
