**ADC Schedules Nationwide Congresses Ahead of National Convention**
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the schedule for its nationwide congresses that will lead to the party's national convention. This development is contained in a statement issued by the party's National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in Abuja.
In line with the party's constitution, the nationwide congresses will take place in phases. The process kicks off with polling unit and ward congresses on April 7, followed by local government area congresses on April 9 and state congresses on April 11. The culmination of these congresses will be the party's national convention, slated for April 14.
To qualify for the national convention, interested members must obtain and submit nomination or expression of interest forms through the official ADC website, www.adc.org.ng. This is in line with the party's aim to renew its leadership structures across all levels.
According to the statement, the approved timetable is as follows:
- Polling unit and ward congresses: April 7, 2026
- Local government area congresses: April 9, 2026
- State congresses: April 11, 2026
- National convention: April 14, 2026
The ADC advised its members nationwide to participate in the process and conduct themselves in accordance with the party's constitution, guidelines, and democratic values.
