Access Bank targets cross-border trade growth with zero-fee PAPSS campaign

In a strategic move aimed at accelerating cross-border trade and remittance flows within the continent, Access Bank Plc has launched its Zero-Fee Outbound Campaign, a customer-focused initiative designed to drive adoption of the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS) through its Access Africa platform.
The campaign, which runs from February 1 to April 30, 2026, enables customers in Nigeria to send money in Naira to other African countries, with beneficiaries receiving funds in their respective local currencies — at zero outbound transfer cost.
By eliminating outbound charges on eligible PAPSS transactions, the bank aims to reduce the cost and complexity traditionally associated with cross-border African payments.
