21 players have arrived in the Super Eagles camp in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of upcoming friendlies against Iran and Jordan. The latest arrivals bring the total number of players in camp to 21, following an initial wave of early arrivals on Tuesday. Notable players already in camp include Fisayo Bashiru, Alex Iwobi, Emmanuel Oluwasegun, Yira Sor, Paul Onuachu and Philip Otele.
The Super Eagles squad has been boosted by the arrival of Semi Ajayi, Moses Simon, Francis Uzoho, Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi-Samuel. Other players in camp include Frank Onyeka, Adebayo Adeleye, Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke. Rounding out the list are Raphael Onyedika, Igoh Ogbu, Maduka Okoye, Samuel Chukwueze and Zaidu Sanusi.
The team is lodged at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel in Antalya, with training scheduled for 4 p.m. local time on Wednesday. Super Eagles Media Officer Promise Efoghe expressed delight at the growing numbers and positive atmosphere in camp. The technical crew will aim to maximize the limited training sessions to build cohesion before the matches against Iran and Jordan.
The friendlies were moved from Amman to Antalya due to security concerns in the Middle East. The Super Eagles will face Iran on Friday before taking on Jordan on March 31 in Antalya.
