The ceremony, held on 20 March, was attended by the group's national president, Tony Okonkwo. Okonkwo praised Governor Mbah's achievements, including the establishment of Enugu Air and the completion of the International Conference Centre in Enugu.
The governor's efforts to develop the state have been notable, with the construction of Smart Schools across 260 wards and the revival of the Hotel Presidential. Okonkwo also highlighted the concession of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport as part of Enugu's bid to become the aviation hub of the South-east. Local government chairman Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze welcomed the dignitaries and reaffirmed Igbo-Eze South's support for Governor Mbah's administration.
Ukwueze praised the governor's commitment to inclusive governance and strategic investments in education and youth development. He described the Tomorrow Is Here Movement as a timely and visionary initiative that has distinguished itself as the best among equals. The chairman expressed Igbo-Eze South's pride in its role as a facilitator of the movement's growth and consolidation.
The Tomorrow Is Here Movement's unwavering support for Governor Mbah's reelection is a testament to the governor's efforts to transform Enugu State. The inauguration of ward coordinators in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area is a significant step towards consolidating the governor's gains. However, the real challenge lies in translating these efforts into tangible benefits for everyday Nigerians. The governor's investments in education and youth development are crucial, but it remains to be seen whether these initiatives will yield the desired outcomes. As the 2027 election approaches, Enugu State residents will be watching closely to see if the governor's promises are matched with concrete actions.
